Frequently Asked Questions

What are the trading hours for MCX?
Unlike the equity market which closes at 3:30 PM, the MCX operates from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM (11:55 PM during US daylight saving). This makes it the perfect market for working professionals to trade during the evening hours.
Do I need a huge capital to trade Commodities?
Not necessarily. While a Mega Gold or Crude Oil Futures contract requires high margin, the MCX offers "Mini" and "Micro" contracts (like Gold Petal or Silver Micro) that require significantly less capital. We also cover Option buying which requires lower capital.
Do I have to take physical delivery of Gold or Oil?
No. While some contracts are physically settled, traders square off their positions before the "tender period" begins. We will teach you exactly how to read expiry calendars to avoid unintended physical delivery.
Why trade Commodities instead of Stocks?
Commodities trend very well based on global supply and demand rather than single-company management decisions. They are highly technical, respect chart patterns, and offer incredible volatility during the evening US market sessions.
